Sandy Biano

Sandy BianoMy acting career began when I originated the role of Edna in Jerome Kilty’s (Dear Liar) Laffing Man.   There was no turning back from there as I moved on to roles in both the classics and modern drama, regional, off & off-off broadway.  It didn’t take me long to reside in Greenwich Village where I met hundreds of other theater professionals and got the opportunity to work with them.  Later, I moved to London and trained at the Drama Studio adding a few more tricks to my bag & enjoyed the company of many famous friends.

New York and New York theater always had sway over me, even after a few seasons in Los Angeles and under the representation of a terrific agent and working in TV such as LA Law, I ended up living in New York.   I study with Naomi Thornton at Michael Howard & have studied with the Stella Adler Studio, EST Curt Dempster and several other insightful teachers of actors.

I love new plays and playwrights.  I love Shepard & Shanley.  I have helped develop many as an artist in resident at The Open Eye Theater.   I have a Masters in Playwrighting and enjoyed some regional success with several of my short plays.  I teach both acting and playwrighting in Arts-in-Education.

Look forward to hearing from you.
